Section 30(1)
The Information Technology Act, 2000 (“IT Act”) shall be amended in the following manner: (a) section 43A of the IT Act shall be omitted; (b) In section 81 of the IT Act, in the proviso, after the words and figures “the Patents Act, 1970”, the words “or the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2022” shall be inserted; and (c) clause (ob) of sub-section (2) of section 87 of IT Act shall be omitted.
Section 30(2)
Clause (j) of sub-section (1) of section 8 of the Right to Information Act, 2005 shall be amended in the following manner: (a) The words “the disclosure of which has no relationship to any public activity or interest, or which would cause unwarranted invasion of the privacy of the individual unless the Central Public Information Officer or the State Public Information Officer or the appellate authority, as the case may be, is satisfied that the larger public interest justifies the disclosure of such information” shall be omitted; (b) The proviso shall be omitted.
